Text Box: FAMILY SERVICE ONTARIO SERVICES A LA FAMILLE-ONTARIO Strengthening Ontario: One Family at a Time   Text Box:         THANKS TO THE LAW FOUNDATION OF ONTARIO   Family Service Ontario wishes to express our appreciation and thanks to THE LAW FOUNDATION OF ONTARIO for its support of our proposal to produce the BEST PRACTICE GUIDELINES FOR COUNSELLING SERVICES, 2009 EDITION.   This is a high quality state-of-the-art product containing chapters on Confidentiality, Client Records, Service Provision, Risk Management, Research, Service Evaluation and Electronic Communication. It will include many sample policies and forms that the committee of experts has determined to be best practice.   A thorough legal review has taken place to ensure that the content meets not only current standards of practice but that all legal points are accurate.   A free copy will be made available to every family service agency that is an FSO member. It will also be available to those clinicians and organizations who want a current and legally sound reference guide to best practices for counselling and psychotherapy.
