BOARD OF DIRECTORS

 
President
Bobbye Goldenberg (Cambridge)
Bobbye is the Executive Director of Family Counselling Centre of Cambridge and North Dumfries.  She has a Bachelor of Science degree, and a Master of Arts degree in Adult Education from Appalachian State University.
 
Vice - President
Alex MacDougall (Cornwall)
Alex is the current president of the Board of Directors of the Family Counselling Centre of Cornwall and United Counties, where he has been a Board member for the past 5 years.  He is a engineer by trade and is recently retired from an executive position with Domtar Inc.
 
Past-President
Karen Zanutto (Fonthill)
Karen is a Human Resource professional with her own consulting practice.  Her experience and training includes both the design and management of Human Resource Management Systems and training/facilitation of individuals and groups in management skills such as team building, conflict resolution, strategic planning, etc. Karen is a former Board member and President of Family and Children's Services, Niagara in St. Catharines.
 

Linda Dayler (Hamilton)
Linda is the Executive Director of Catholic Family Services of Hamilton-Wentworth.  She has experience as a Director of Nursing and continues to instruct at the McMaster School of Nursing.

 
Diane Walker (Thunder Bay)
Diane is a program manager at a Children's Mental Health agency.  Diane brings an in depth knowledge of Policy Governance to FSO, the governance model in use since 1999.  She is a former Board chair of Family Services Thunder Bay.
 
Susan McCawley (Toronto)
Susan is a retired lawyer, who specialized in family law.  She was the president of the Board of Directors of Family Services of Peel and remains involved with one of their Board committees.  Susan is also a member of the FSO Accreditation Committee and was its' Chair from 2001 to 2004.
 
Leslie Josling (Townsend)
Leslie is the Executive Director of K-W Counselling Services in Kitchener.  Formerly, she was the Family Services Manager at Haldimand-Norfolk R.E.A.C.H. She had overseen the delivery of counselling services in the Haldimand-Norfolk community for over a decade.  Leslie has particular expertise in the area of domestic violence, and has been an active advocate at both the local and provincial level.
 
Elisha Laker (Newmarket)
Elisha is the Executive Director of Family Services York Region.  He has been very supportive of FSO's government relations work and he is especially interested in the success of the Families and Schools Together program.
 
Connie McLeod  (Thunder Bay)
Connie is a retired school principal from Thunder Bay who has also worked as a program manager in the children’s mental health field. She has also served as president of the Board of  Directors of the Thunder Bay Counselling Centre.Connie has been in leadership positions in both her professional and volunteer life, which includes Artisans Northwest, the Children’s Centre of  Thunder Bay and  Caring Hearts Thunder Bay.

Executive Director
John Ellis, M.S.W., R.S.W.

John has more than 25 years experience in association management. 
John was the Executive Director of the Alzheimer Society of Ontario from 1990 to 2003.  Prior to that he spent 9 years as Executive Director with the Epilepsy Association of Metro Toronto.  These positions afforded him the opportunity to play a leadership role both at the local and provincial levels.
A native of
Toronto, John holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto.

Accreditation Coordinator
Bonnie Hoppe, M.S.W., R.S.W.
Bonnie joined Family Service Ontario in 1992 and has since coordinated all the activities of the Accreditation program. Prior to her work for Family Service Ontario Bonnie was a Policy Analyst for the Children's Services Unit, Policy Development Branch, Ministry of Community and Social Services. Bonnie received her Master's of Social Work Degree from the University of Toronto.
 
Administrative Assistant
Klodia Guma B.A., Certified Executive Assistant
Klodia has been with Family Service Ontario since January 2009, in the role of Administrative Assistant. Klodia provides a valuable support to the Board, Executive Director and other staff members and handles all administrative duties in the office.
